CLASS & CLUB NEWS

After School Program Rec Room will be open beginning Monday August 19th.  Pick up your snack in the cafeteria before going to class.  Rec Room is in the basement of the west wing Room 8.  Sports Medicine will begin Tuesday August 20th.  Be sure to check the schedules outside the main office and counseling office for a list of classes.  See Tonya Warren in room 8 if you have questions.    

Seniors if you think you will need help paying for the GradNite trip, write a letter to Mrs. Bonilla explaining your situation.  We will look at several factors including grades, attendance, and need.  Letters are due to Mrs. Bonilla by August 29th at 3:30pm.  They may be written or typed.  You can email them as well.  See Mrs. Bonilla if you have any questions. 

Are you interested in having fun while learning about sports medicine?  Come join the Sports Medicine After School Program on Tuesdays from 3:15 – 5:15 and Fridays from 3:15 – 4:15, to learn how to tape and rehabilitate athletes, get certified in CPR and First Aid, travel with the sports teams and be a part of the sports community at CHS.  If you have, any questions please contact Kevin Brown or just stop by the athletic training room on Tuesday or Friday.  See you there.

Attention CTE/ROP Students:  The CTEL Club will have its first meetings on Wednesday August 28, 2019 at 1:15pm in the Home Ec room.  At the first meeting we will be discussing the new/updated Pathway Completer Graduation Cord requirements and electing club officials.  Bring your lunch and join us for a short informative meeting!

After School Leadership, class will be starting up again… We will meet every Wednesday from 3:15 – 5:15 starting September 11th.  Please see Mrs. Arce or Mrs. Warren in room 8 if you are interested.

Anyone interested in working at the snack bar during football games for community service hours please sign up in the 9th grade counseling office with Mrs. Vasquez.

 SPORTS NEWS

Attention all ladies interested in playing basketball, swing by the little gym beginning September 3rd and get your skills set for the upcoming season!  We will be working our every Tuesday and Thursday through try-outs.  Questions?  Contact Mike Walker 707-6425.

Attention all runners interested in joining the cross-country team.  There is still time to join the team.  There will be a meeting on Thursday at 3:30 in Coach McFarlin’s room.  It is located in the west wing basement room 7.  Bus passes will be provided for any bus rider.
