Class & Club News:

Would you like to participate in the league talent show?  You will have the chance to perform in front of 5 different schools.  Pick up and application in Mrs. Bonilla’s room, N310.  Applications are due Friday, Jan 11th by 3:15.

Seniors, your panoramic picture is in Feb.  You need a senior t-shirt or hoodie by then.  Supplies are limited.  Please see Mrs. Bonilla if you still need to purchase them.

Like The Vampire Diaries?  Teen Wolf?  Join us Monday and Wednesday afterschool in Ms. Cooley’s room 129.  Monday we watch Teen Wolf – Wednesday we watch The Vampire Diaries. 

Attention Seniors: Cap, Gown, and graduation announcement orders will be accepted on Jan. 16th in the Government/Econ Classes.  A deposit or payment in full is required to place an order.  Ordering information packets are available in the Main Office. 

VIDA meeting for officers ONLY tomorrow, Jan. 9.  Regular meeting will resume on Jan. 16.

Sports News:

Monday, January 7th Track and Field workouts have officially begun at 3:30pm meet at the Track field.  Please get your physical taken care of ASAP if you have not already.  Clearances must be turned in to participate in any practice.  Deadline for athletes NOT participating in a winter sport is Jan. 18th. Winter sport athletes must report to Track the day after their sport ends.  Looking forward to a 7th straight league championship in 2019!

Boys tennis starts on Monday, January 14!  Make sure to have all of your paperwork turned in and your clearance ready to go.  Meet at the benches by the courts, practice starts at 3:30.  If you have any questions, contact Coach Walker at jwalker@chusd.org.

It’s that time of year again.  Swimming will be    starting for those who are not in a winter sport on Monday January 14th.  Practice will be at 3:30-5:15 at the swim complex.  You need to have your clearance paperwork turned in.  Be ready to get in the water. 

Attention Lady Toads!  Softball conditioning is officially underway at the varsity softball field after school.  Clearances must be turned in t participate in any practices.  Official tryouts will be on Jan. 17th and 18th at the varsity field for those not participating in a winter sport.  Please contact Coach Brazelton and Coach Cleveland if you have any questions.

A West Hills College Representative is now available to CHS students.  If you want to meet with him, sign up in the Main Counseling Office or see Miss Lopez. 

Toads don’t forget to wear college, career, or military gear on Wednesdays.  Go Wednesdays! 

If you are interested in the military after high school.  Sign-up in the counseling office to speak to a representative.
