Need community service hours? Keck Park is running two events that they need help with. One is Pumpkin Carving on Oct. 18th and the Halloween Carnival on Oct. 25th. See Mrs. Bonilla to sign up and get more details.
SADIES guest pass permission slips may be picked up in the main office.
The next two Thursdays we will have spirit dress up days to promote National Bullying Prevention month. This Thursday October 18, is Twin/Squad day.
We are starting Rachel’s Challenge again. If you are interested in being part of the FOR Club (friends of Rachel) come and join us. Our first meeting will be on Monday 22, during lunch in room N305.
No after school program Thursday, Oct. 18th. There will not be a 5:15 bus.
Attention CTE and ROP students: Join the CTE Leadership Club! Our first meeting will be on Oct. 24 at 1:10pm in the Home EC room. The CTEL Club will help you develop leadership skills, plan and participate in exciting events, and give you a new perspective on careers through guest speakers! Participation in the club is required for all students planning on applying for CTE Pathway Completer Cords for graduation.
Boys Soccer – Attention anyone interested in playing boys soccer conditioning starts at 3:45 at the old middle school field today 10/15. You must have your clearance at that time to participate. Coach will issue a bus pass for those riding the bus.
Anyone interested in playing basketball that is not currently playing a sport; there is a mandatory meeting on Monday 10/22 at 3:30 in the small gym. Clearances are due at that time.
Softball workouts will begin on 10/16 at the Varsity softball field. Workouts will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. You must have your sports clearance in order to participate. If you are not currently playing a sport, it is highly encouraged that you attend these workouts. Contact Coach Brazelton or Coach Cleveland if you have any questions.
If you’re interested in trying out for Girls Basketball tryouts begin on Monday October 29th. You must be cleared by that date.
The Career Tech Expo is coming up again! We will be taking a bus of students to Fresno on Oct. 17th.
Have you ever thought about a career in the Military? Sign up in the Counseling office to meet with a representative.
Every Wednesday wear college, career, or military clothes to show your support for Wear Will You Go Wednesdays! Throughout the year, there will be various contests and prizes, so participation counts. Your 5th period teacher will keep track.
Need Community Service? Students interested in working at Shift Sector on Oct. 27 and 28 sign up in the 9th grade office. See Mrs. Diaz if you have any questions.
During the day the Snack Bar is open for your convenience and pleasure. If it continues to be a reason for you to be late to your classes, it will be closed down. Please show your teachers respect and courtesy by getting to classes on time.
