STUDENTS IF YOU HAVE LUNCH DETENTION YOU NEED TO CHECK IN WITH MR. NIELSON WITHIN THE FIRST 10 MINUTES OF LUNCH.

A PARENT MUST VERIFY ALL ABSENCES WITHIN 3 DAYS OF THE ABSENCE. UNVERIFIED ABSENCES ARE CONSIDERED CUTS. TURN IN ALL DOCTOR & DENTAL NOTES TO MRS. YEAGER IN THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE A.S.A.P.
A reminder to parents and students: Be thinking early this year about the days you plan to miss school. Please try to make your doctor appointments for after school and plan to attend school every day. It is extremely important to attend school the week of December 11h – 15th so you do not miss your quarter and semester final exams.

High School Custodial staff needs help after school. If you would like to volunteer, see Mrs. Ryan in the Counseling Office for more information.
“CHS has different military representatives coming to our campus this year. If you want to speak to a specific branch, like the Marines, Navy, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, or any branch in general, please come into the Counseling office and sign up.”
Volunteers are needed for the ELKS haunted house on October 27-29, 2017. See Mrs. Ryan in the Counseling Office for more information.
PSAT’s are right around the corner. They will be on October 11th this year. If you are interested in practicing for the SAT (which is required for a 4 year university). Stop by the counseling office and sign up as soon as possible. Space is limited.
Our Fresno State Ambassador will start coming to CHS. If you are interested in applying or learning more information about Fresno State please stop by the counseling office and sign up to see him.
Coalinga High School will have a Fresno Pacific University Representative come to our campus on Tuesday, November 7th. If you are interested in learning more about Fresno Pacific University, stop by the Counseling Office and sign up to see him.

Ladies: If you are thinking of attending Homecoming, and are going to be buying a dress, please be aware that dress code applies. Guidelines are as follows:
Dresses can be NO shorter than FIVE inches above the knee, strapless dresses are permitted, but dresses cannot expose cleavage. IF you break dress code, you will be turned away at the door. No Exceptions! Please shop responsibly.
Students you are required to have your school ID in your possession at all times.
Students are not allowed to use the elevator unless cleared to do so by Administration. If a student has a reason or condition requiring the use of the elevator please speak with one of us, otherwise violators will be punished.
Students are not to hang out in the halls before school, during lunch, or after school. No food or drinks are allowed as you move in the halls to your classes. Access to Counseling and Library are through the doors leading to the middle hallway and is not allowed from the outside doors.
Girls soccer will meet in Rm H403 Mondays and Wednesdays after school.
Baseball open workouts start on Tuesday, October 10, 3:30 at the Varsity Field. See Coach Bonilla with questions.
