FROM the COUNSELING OFFICE

Seniors:  There is a new scholarship bulletin available in the Counseling Office.

1) Fresno County’s College Night

Coalinga High School will be traveling to the Fresno Convention Center Exhibit Hall for Fresno County’s College Night on Wednesday, September 13.  This event draws over 5,000 students, giving them the opportunity to speak with college representatives, as well as to attend sessions on college admissions and financial aid, among others.  If you would like to attend, make sure to come into the Counseling Office and sign up.  This event is open to all students.  Space is limited.  First come, first serve.

2) Congressional Leadership Fund

The Congressional Leadership Fund is currently seeking students interested in learning more about campaigning and effective public communications.  Student interns will gain invaluable knowledge about the democratic process and work to become adept communicators through hands on experience with elected officials, candidates, and the general public.  Hours are flexible, with a minimum commitment of 8-10 hours a week.  Students are responsible for their own transportation.  Internship office is based out of Bakersfield.  This internship is Unpaid.  For more information, please see Ms. Lopez in the Career Center.

From Mr. Allen and Mrs. Walker

Students you may not visit any other school site during your lunch break.  If you do, it is considered trespassing, and you will be disciplined.

All skateboards, hover boards, longboards etc. are not allowed on campus.  We do not have a locking facility for them at this time; we are looking into getting one, so please for the time being do not bring them to school.
