CLASS & CLUB NEWS

If you want to run for an ASB office, pick up an application in Mrs. Bonilla’s room. You can run for rally commissioner, social media commissioner, or secretary. Applications are due April 27th.

 

FCA meeting today during lunch in the Home Ec room.  Lunch will be provided.

 

Mr. Hendrix will be offering American Sign Language level 1 at West Hills College this summer. This course starts on June 11th and ends on August 2nd. This is a Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday course from 1pm-3:50. This is an amazing opportunity to earn four college credits. Please see Mr. Hendrix in room 220 for more information.”

 

There are two community service opportunities for students.

 

You may work at the Fun Run May 19th at CMS.

 

Senior Parents also need help at Shift Sector on April 28th.

Seniors:  If you are in need of extra Senior Graduation, announcements see Mrs. Serna.  The cost is $1.00

 

Prom April 28

Time: 8:00 – 12:00

 

Prom tickets are now on sale thru April 26th prices are as follows;

 

Students w/ASB
$45.00 for singles
$70.00 for couples

 

Students w/o ASB
$55.00 for singles
$80.00 for couples

 

Guest Passes for Prom are available in the main office.  All guest passes need to be turned in by Wednesday April 25, by 3:00 pm.  No exceptions.

 

Ladies, having trouble finding a dress on your budget? I may have some dresses that would work for you. Talk to Mrs. Bonilla to set up an appointment to see the dresses that are available.

Seniors: If you are planning on attending West Hills College Lemoore and need to switch your classes, there will be a workshop on Wednesday, April 25th.  Sign-up in the Counseling Office to attend.”

 

Have you been or are currently in the Migrant program and plan to attend West Hills College? Apply for their CAMP program. Please contact Ms. Fernandez for more information.

 

Attention Seniors:  There are many local scholarships available this month. Be sure to check the scholarship bulletin.  It is available in the Counseling Office and on the CHS website.  Ms. Fernandez also e-mailed you a copy.

Attention: Any students interested in joining the military after graduating high school sign up to meet with a military representative in the Counseling Office.

Faculty/Staff

**Teachers:  There is a change to how you   record tardies/absences for late students for periods 1 and 6.  Starting today, any student

period 6 must be swept.  If the student comes to you with a sweep, you are to mark the student TARDY no matter how late that student arrives to class.  If the student comes to class without a sweep, you must send the student to the main office to receive a sweep.  Mark all students “T” for periods 1 and 6, REGARDLESS of how late they arrive.  Please see admin or Ms. Saldana if you have questions.  Thanks!
