Class & Club News:

No After School Program today.  There will not be a 5:15 bus.

CHS’s 6th Annual Poetry Slam will take place next Wednesday, May 1st at lunch in the library at 1:10.  Bring your friends, your lunch, and your original poetry to share!  Prizes and fame await you!  There’s still plenty of time to write a new poem or three.  For more information, stop by the library. 

The California Young Reader Medal program will end on Monday April 29th. There’s still time to read a book or two.  Don’t forget to submit your forms to Turnitin.com to be eligible for prizes and the pizza party!

Prom tickets are on sale they will be on sale through April 25th.  Tickets are available at lunch in room N310 (Mrs. Bonilla)

The prices are as follows:

W/ASB   singles are $45 and couples are $70

W/O ASB singles are $55 and couples are $80

Doors open at 8:00pm, you will not be admitted after 10:00pm.  Your ticket is needed for admittance.

Counselors Corner:

Toads don’t forget to wear college, career, or military gear on Wednesdays.  Go Wednesdays! 

If you are interested in the military after high school.  Sign-up in the counseling office to speak to a representative. 

If you are interested in any Vocational School Education after high school, there will be a sign-up sheet available in the Main Counseling Office.  Ms. Lopez will keep track of you and make sure you are able to participate in any vocational education updates. 

Current Sophomores and Juniors looking for a paid summer job can come by the Counseling Office to pick up an application to be a Student Summer Helper with the CHUSD Maintenance Dept.  Applications must be turned in by May 3, by 4:00pm to Mrs. Ruona in the Counseling Office.
