Class ring orders will be in the Library on Thursday September 14th at lunch and after school and on Friday, September 15th at lunch.

Pick up an application in the main office or in North Wing 302. Applications are due to Mr. Yeager at North Wing 302 before school or at lunch only. The last day to apply is Monday, September 11th — so the sooner you apply, the better!


Mr. Delano’s Video Club/Movie Club has begun after school every day including Friday!!  We are in the West Wing Basement! This week’s Movie guests will be Lady GaGa, Andrew Garfield, Chris Helms-worth and Scarlet Johann-sen.


Ms. Cooley’s after-school Movie/TV Club will be showing Doctor Who on Mondays and Teen Wolf on Wednesdays. Come join us in Room 129!


Hey do you want to make your mark on the school.  Come to the mural painting class during after school program on Tuesday and Thursdays in Ms. Ertel’s room, N305.  # make your mark!


“Do you like adventure and the outdoors?  Join the SOAR after school club.  Student outdoor Adventure and Recreation.  Come learn basic survival skills, go hiking, and camping and other outdoor adventures.  Thursdays only in Mrs Lucero’s room after school.


Ladies it’s time to start asking !!!! Sadies is two weeks away! Here’s everything you need to know. It’s a sport theme, so wear your coolest matching jerseys. It will be held in the Hub from 9-12 on September 8th. Singles with asb are $8.00, without asb tickets are $12.00. Couples with ASB are $14.00, without ASB it will cost you $18.00. See Mrs. Bonilla if you have questions. Guest passes will be available in the main office starting August 31st.

1) Fresno County’s College Night

Coalinga High School will be traveling to the Fresno Convention Center Exhibit Hall for Fresno County’s College Night on Wednesday, September 13.  This event draws over 5,000 students, giving them the opportunity to speak with college representatives, as well as to attend sessions on college admissions and financial aid, among others.  If you would like to attend, make sure to come into the Counseling Office and sign up.  This event is open to all students.  Space is limited.  First come, first serve.


2) Congressional Leadership Fund

The Congressional Leadership Fund is currently seeking students interested in learning more about campaigning and effective public communications.  Student interns will gain invaluable knowledge about the democratic process and work to become adept communicators through hands on experience with elected officials, candidates, and the general public.  Hours are flexible, with a minimum commitment of 8-10 hours a week.  Students are responsible for their own transportation.  Internship office is based out of Bakersfield.  This internship is Unpaid.  For more information, please see Ms. Lopez in the Career Center.

Students you may not visit any other school site during your lunch break.  If you do, it is considered trespassing, and you will be disciplined.


All skateboards, hover boards, longboards etc. are not allowed on campus.  We do not have a locking facility for them at this time; we are looking into getting one, so please for the time being do not bring them to school.



Attention all basketball players! Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the City Love 3 on 3 tournament.  Tournament is September 16th and 23rd.  Tournament hosted at Huron Middle School by the Rec Department.  Cost is $15 per player.  Registration forms can be obtained from Coach McFarlin in Room 6 before school.


Attention all basketball players, there will be basketball workouts in the small gym on Mondays and Wednesdays as part of the after school program.  Workouts begin at 3:30 pm and end at 5 pm.  If you are interested in improving your game Coach McFarlin looks forward to working with you.


Are you ready for basketball?  Every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 – 5:00 in the little gym Lady Toads Basketball will be working on skill development.  Come join us starting Tuesday, September 5th!
