CLASS & CLUB NEWS

There will be Saturday School in Huron and Coalinga tomorrow May 19th.

 

We need lifeguards for the senior pool party. If you are a certified lifeguard and need community service hours see Mrs. Bonilla to sign up.

 

Are you looking for adventure?  Join us in Costa Rica Next summer in 2019!

Mrs. Lucero will be leading a group through tropical rain forests, zip lining, exploring volcanoes, and so much more!  Don’t miss this chance of a lifetime.  For more information come by room 17 tonight at 6pm in Rm 17.

 

Attention Seniors:  If you completed a CTE or ROP pathway at CHS with grades of C or better in each course you may be eligible for CTE Pathway Completer Graduation Cords.  Please see Mrs. Mahfood in the Home Ec. room to fill out an application before 3 pm on Monday.

DRESS CODE VIOLATIONS:

LADIES…YOU WILL BE DRESS CODED FOR TOPS THAT REVEAL YOUR MIDRIFF AS WELL AS BLOUSES THAT ARE WORN OFF THE SHOULDER WITHOUT A TWO INCH STRAP UNDERNEATH.  STAY SCHOOL APPROPRIATE PLEASE.

Ladies: Exposed Bralettes are breaking dress code.  If you are wearing one that is exposed, you will be dress coded.

 

FROM THE COUNSELING OFFICE

Students; If you are interested in learning more about the military, there will be a luncheon on Wednesday, May 23, during lunch, in the library.  The Army will be giving out general information, answering any questions you may have, and will even provide lunch for those who attend.  If you are interested, sign up in the Counseling Office.

 

Have you been or are currently in the Migrant program and plan to attend West Hills College? Apply for their CAMP program. Please contact Ms. Fernandez for more information.

 

SPORTS NEWS

 

ALL ATHLETES:

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON PLAYING A FALL SPORT IN THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR END OF THIS YEAR’S JUNE GRADES WILL REFLECT YOUR ELIGIBILITY FOR NEXT FALL.  MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 2.0 WITH NO MORE THAN ONE F.

 

Attention all runners interested in joining the Cross-Country team next year.  We will be having a meeting today after school in Coach McFarlin’s room.  It is important for you to be there.  Bus passes will be provided for those that need them.  Coach will also be hosting practices for spring training this week after school for all returning runners.
