CLASS & CLUB NEWS
To all students: Class ring orders will be accepted on Thursday, Sept. 14th during lunch and after school until 4:00 in the library. Make up orders will be accepted on Friday, Sept. 15th during lunch in the library. A $70.00 deposit is required to place an order. Full color brochures with complete pricing are available in the Main Office.

Do you set high academic goals for yourself? Do you want to show your future college how driven and service-minded you are? Apply for CSF! Pick up an application in the main office or in North Wing 302. Applications are due to Mr. Yeager at North Wing 302 before school or at lunch only. The last day to apply is Monday, September 11th — so the sooner you apply, the better!

A reminder to parents and students: Be thinking early this year about the days you plan to miss school. Please try to make your Dr. appointments for after school and plan to attend school every day. It is extremely important to attend school the week of December 11h – 15th so you do not miss your quarter and semester final exams.

Attention all 9th grade students and Link Crew Leaders, our Annual Tailgate Party will be Friday, September 15. Join us for food, fun, and a free ticket into the football game. Sign up to attend in the Freshman Office.
Seniors: There is a new scholarship bulletin available in the Counseling Office.
1) Fresno County’s College Night
Coalinga High School will be traveling to the Fresno Convention Center Exhibit Hall for Fresno County’s College Night on Wednesday, September 13. This event draws over 5,000 students, giving them the opportunity to speak with college representatives, as well as to attend sessions on college admissions and financial aid, among others. If you would like to attend, make sure to come into the Counseling Office and sign up. This event is open to all students. Space is limited. First come, first serve.
2) Congressional Leadership Fund
The Congressional Leadership Fund is currently seeking students interested in learning more about campaigning and effective public communications. Student interns will gain invaluable knowledge about the democratic process and work to become adept
communicators through hands on experience with elected officials, candidates, and the general public. Hours are flexible, with a minimum commitment of 8-10 hours a week. Students are responsible for their own transportation. Internship office is based out of Bakersfield. This internship is Unpaid. For more information, please see Ms. Lopez in the Career Center.

Ladies: It is a dress code violation if you have holes or tears in your jeans that show skin above the knee. Please dress accordingly.
All skateboards, hover boards, longboards etc. are not allowed on campus. We do not have a locking facility for them at this time; we are looking into getting one, so please for the time being do not bring them to school.
Mr. Z’s After School Soccer;
Attention boys and girls: join us this Thursday after school to play soccer. Bring your cleats and plenty of water. We will meet on the green (between bus parking and girl’s gym) at 3:30pm. Boys Soccer Players: Coach Able will be there expecting to see you.
Attention all basketball players! Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the City Love 3 on 3 tournament. Tournament is September 16th and 23rd. Tournament hosted at Huron Middle School by the Rec Department. Cost is $15 per player. Registration forms can be obtained from Coach McFarlin in Room 6 before school.
Attention all basketball players, there will be basketball workouts in the small gym on Mondays and Wednesdays as part of the after school program. Workouts begin at 3:30 pm and end at 5 pm. If you are interested in improving your game Coach McFarlin looks forward to working with you.
